2016 Scarborough Canada Day Parade!
Friday July 1st, 2016.
Bring your bicycle!
Bring your friends and their bicycles!
Free to participate, and family friendly!
The more the better as we celebrate and promote cycling in Scarborough. Decorate your bicycle in a Canada Day theme.
Parade marshalling area is Brimley Rd and Triton Rd (just north of Ellesmere).
Float number 47 (registered as TO35CYCLES).
Parking: Scarborough Town Centre Southwest lot.
Arrive before 3:30 pm. Parade starts at 4:00 pm.
Parade concludes at Brimley and Lawrence.

history, the Bells on Danforth ends in Scarborough at Danforth Ave. and Danforth Rd.! We
are hosting the end of the ride with our partners the Crossroads of theDanforth BIA. Don't miss being part of hundreds of cyclists coming

Scarborough Cycles Bike Hub Launch at AccessPoint on Danforth. Sat. Jun. 18, 12pm. Group Ride at 2pm.
Join us to celebrate our new community
bicycle hub! Events include: bike decorating, bike safety checks, helmet
fittings, and a slow bicycle race. You can also register your bike with the
Toronto Police Service, 41 Division.

Ward 36 Cyclists Ride to St. Lawrence Library Bike Day
Join Ward 36 Cyclists for a leisurely group ride down to the waterfront, heading west and finishing at the St. Lawrence Library to support their inaugural bike day, where you can get a free springtime bike tune up, learn how to ride safely in the city, enjoy locally made treats, and much, much more.

Draft Maps of the New Toronto Cycling Network Plan
The City has released draft maps of projects being proposed for the new Cycling Network.
Four types of projects are identified:
- Projects on Fast Busy Streets
- Projects on Quiet Streets
- Projects to Renew Existing Cycling Network
- Major Corridor Studies
Members of Ward 36 Cyclists will be meeting with City staff on Saturday February 20 to give feedback on the proposed projects in our ward.

Toronto Bike Awards, Wed. Feb. 24

This annual celebration invites the community to honour businesses and organizations that demonstrate leadership in encouraging cycling in our city.
Please join us to learn how Toronto's business community is shaping Toronto's cycling network and celebrate our successes.

The awards will take place on February 24, 2016 at the Steam Whistle Brewing Hall , with doors at 6:3 0 pm and programming beginning at 7:00pm.
The ceremony will be hosted by Cycle Toronto's Executive Director Jared Kolb and City of Toronto Cycling Manager Jacquelyn Hayward Gulati, who will also provide a keynote speech.
We'll also hear presentations from PWIC Chair and Councillor Jaye Robinson and General Manager of Transportation Services, Stephen Buckley.
